Torrone


It is called "Torrone" This was and I am sure it is still a must for Christmas in Italy, why just for Christmas? Not sure why, anyways, I never thought about making it myself... 

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/2 cups good-quality honey
  2. 3 cups peeled almonds
  3. 1 1/2 cups hazelnuts
  4. 1 1/4 cups sugar
  5. 3 egg whites
  6. 1 lemon
  7. 1/2 orange rind, grated
